Emotional Lorraine makes final TV3 broadcast
May 6, 2009‘XPOSE’ frontwoman Lorraine Keane fought back tears as she left TV3’s studios for the last time yesterday after announcing her shock resignation on Tuesday after more than a decade at the network.
“Saying goodbye to all my pals makes it very difficult,” she told the Irish Independent last night. “But I know I’m making the right decision and I’m making it for all the right reasons. But it’s just saying goodbye to all my other family that’s difficult,” she said.
“I have mixed emotions. I made the decision. I didn’t do it on a whim. I’ve thought about it for a while.”
“I’ve been doing it for a long time and I’m kind of looking forward to trading in my stilettos for Ugg boots.”
“That is all from ‘Xpose‘ tonight, and indeed, me on ‘Xpose‘. This is my last show so I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all my producers, my co-presenters, all the crew and indeed all my colleagues in TV3 for their support and friendship over the years, but especially, to you the viewers for tuning in each night.”
